i was just wondering if shingles is contageous? I have a spot of shingles on my chest 🙁, but i have medication so its going away slowly 🙂 the reason im asking is because im worried i might infect my family. I always pick at it then i go use my computer or something. Is it possible to get shingles through touch? i hope not because im touched my keyboard and mouse.

well shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox.
A person, who has had chickenpox already, can not contact shingles after coming into contact with someone who has the disease. It is possible though to spread chickenpox to someone who has not had the disease before.
