Help: My school doesn't have a pre-pharmacy track

I've just recently started to consider going to pharmacy school, but my school doesn't seem to provide any support or guidance for pre-pharmacy students. Apparently, everyone here just wants to be pre-med. Anyway, I'm still confused about the whole application process. Do I apply during my senior year or do I wait until I've received my bachelor's? What exactly are the pre-reqs? I've seen the list for Rutgers Pharmacy School, but are those pre-reqs pretty much the same everywhere else? Thanks for your help.

Pharmacy schools usually vary slightly in which prerequisite courses are needed. You must check with each individual school. The school's website will provide you with the information about what prerequisite courses you need to take. You can apply as soon as you finish your prereqs. Prereqs are never EXACTLY the same...but they are similar. Do whatever major you want, as long as you do the prereqs. Some upper division science in excess might be nice, as would a bachelor's...but most schools don't require either. Apply the year you will have your prereqs done.

BTW...everybody and their dog always wants to be pre-med. 😱
