Hi, I am currently a High school student, but i am striving to be a veterinarian. I was given this assignment by my current language arts teacher to learn more about the career I strive for. For my paper I have to conduct a interview. So if a veterinarian could reply with their name and email and the answers to the following questions as soon as possible that would be incredibly helpful.
.How long did it take you to find a job?
.What is your favorite part of your job?
.What is your least favorite part of your job?
.What is something you wished someone would have told you before you started in the field?
.What is the biggest sacrifice you have had to make for your job?
.Throughout your work,is there an emotional toll from seeing all of the sick or dying animals?
.How are the hours unpredictable?
.What does your job mostly consist of?
.Do some of the animals attack you when you have to preform a check-up?
.Is there a strain on your personal life, because of your work?
.Is there experience needed before you can get a job?
.How long was the trail period when you first started working?
.What are the dangers in your work?
.What benefits does your job provide you?
.What was the hiring process?
.Is there a policy for stray or abandoned animals?
.What is the greatest piece of advice you had received throughout your educational career?

I would recommend interviewing a person face to face. I imagine that is the intended assignment. The interview and interaction is more educational than making a write up from a list of answers. If you are interested in being a vet, you need to get out there and make contacts. Having experience how's shadowing, volenteering or working at a vet clinic is required for vet school application (some schools expecting up to 3,000 hours). So, you should take this opportunity to great contacts with local veterinarians.

SDN shouldn't be used for homework help. You need to go meet a vet face to face and do this.

Seconding that you should interview a vet face to face. You can search local vet clinics, zoos, aquaria, etc to find a vet willing to meet with you. Just explain your assignment and interest in vet med and I imagine you'll be able to find someone. Good luck 🙂
