Hi everybody,

This is my first post. im a little nervous about if i can get any response. but please help me out!!!!!

I did two Crack the DAT science sections. in the organic chemistry part, they always ask you about the mechanisms names and reagents. do they also appear on the real DAT? do i have to memorize them all??? i think i understand the mechanisms, but im suck at memorizing names.. because english is not my first language.

I don't think not having english as your first language matters for memorizing o-chem, but you don't need the names of mechanisms memorized for the DAT. You should be familiar with what common reagents do ie DMSO, DMF, PPC, Jones reagent, H202, and so on. You don't need to know structures of them, just what they do.

Like Dotoday said, the more problems the better. I would recommend DAT Destroyer to really get the sciences down. It even explains what the various reagents are for the OC section, so that may help with your memorizing of them.
