Hey everyone,
I'm planning on applying this upcoming application cycle. I'm really kinda stressed out about it. Here is the question, after my submission on PharmCAS, are there any specific documents that I need to submit to the pharmacy schools I'm interested in? My #1 choice is either Oregon State or Pacific Oregon, with a couple of UC schools. Advice please?
Also, I'm only applying to those schools that dont require PCAT scores. My cumulative GPA is 3.97, with a science GPA ~3.8. I have plenty of volunteer experience, as well as teaching, shadowing. Do you guys think it will boost my resume if I take PCAT? Does PCAT score matter to those non-PCAT schools?
Thank you in advance for your suggestions! 🙂

Most schools will require a Supplemental Application in addition to PharmCAS. This is usually additional essays, prerequisite sheets, and/or a resume. You need to research the admissions pages for the individual schools to find out about those requirements and if you need to directly mail them anything else.

For schools that do not require the PCAT, they will usually not even take it into consideration if you took it. So it would not help your application or your wallet.

Spend some time researching the school websites and the PharmCAS site. Pay attention to deadlines and make a checklist. It sounds like you have some good academics, experiences and are being proactive, so don't worry that much.

Thank you so much! Much appreciated!

apparently, people get into pharmacy school with like a 2.5 gpa. you'll be fine. and no i don't think you should waste your time with the PCAT.

I read somewhere on here that people even got in w 2ish GPA and 30-40ish percentile on the PCAT (Law schools are even worse... people get accepted with 20ish percentile on the LSAT) 🙂

I agree with Jessica Lee that the OP will get in somewhere.

You've got this, if you want med school you have a really good shot as well. Look at this to kind of get an idea of the ideal candidate for schools.

Hey DruggieDoRight, since you are a pharmacy student already, allow me to ask one more question. How did you submit the letter of recommendation? I was a little confused about that. Do professors submit their letters online? Thank you so much for helping!
