Hey guys, I'm planning out when I'm going to try to submit my app for dental school. I'm going to be spending a month and a week studying for the DAT, from May 9th to June 15th. I heard it takes 3-4 weeks for your DAT scores to be sent out and as that's happening I'm planning on taking care of submitting my transcripts/getting them verified, working on my personal statement, verifying my GPA, and any other application materials/sections so that by the time my DAT score come in it should be July 15th at the latest. I'd then maybe spend another day making sure everything's all set and I'd want to SUBMIT July 16th. Is this a good time? Is this considered early? and if so is that a positive?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I don't think it takes that long for your DAT scores to arrive at AADSAS. If I were you, I'd study for it couple weeks longer. Also, have your LORS lined up BEFORE your DAT so you arent worrying about them while you are trying to study. And if I had to do it all over again I would have started working on the PS earlier. The AADSAS takes quite a bit of time to fill in without the PS.

I recommend that you take your DAT sometime no late than March. If you end up retaking your DAT, you have to wait 90 days until you can retake it. 🙂

YOur should be fine! I took DAT August 10 and ADEA received all my three scores August 22. ( ten days only, not THREE weeks). Your app probably will be on it way out 4-5 batch. Good luck on your exam

Yeah my first crack at the DAT is actually in two days, which is why I'm giving myself a plan if I have to retake it or if I'm not exactly happy with my score! thank you for your reply! 🙂
