I'm just looking for a little advice with my undergrad prep. Honestly, I'm a sucky ass student. Obviously I'll need to build this up before I even think of medicine as a career, so..I'm considering only going part-time, or taking the minimum full-time hours. More on that later.

I have no study habbits, I suck at taking tests, and it takes me a few times reading material to actually grasp it. Most of my friends are taking 16-18 hours at a four year university, and I'm thinking I'd be better off with something like 12 or 14, or even doing my first two years at a community college. How would this effect my future chances of getting into medical school? I honestly don't think I'm capable of keeping a high GPA if I were to go full speed at this time in my life, especially in a science major . I was even thinking of going to school part-time so I can work, too..would that be a damper on my GPA, or application? I don't plan on going slow the entire time, but I really need to work on my learning techniques before jumping into something that will prove to be a mistake.

My desired major is Medical Technology, or Biochemistry.

I tried to be as honest with myself and you as I could, so..any advice is welcome.

Thanks.
