After completing some prereqs 8-9 years ago and finishing my bachelor’s in health sciences this past year with a not-so-great GPA, how should I go about pursuing PT school? Looking into community colleges for prereqs and maybe master's programs but idk what’s the best option. Any advice would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

I would recommend focusing on your prerequisites rather than a Masters. Schools do look at prerequisite gpa as well as overall gpa. There is a portion on PTCAS that asks if you believe your academic transcript accurately represents your abilities. That could also be an opportunity to explain circumstances and highlight growth.
You also have the opportunity of showing your commitment through observation hours or perhaps volunteer opportunities. GPA is important, but some schools do genuinely look at the whole picture.
I’d also do research into which schools align with your personal values, try to understand what their ideal student is, and work towards that as a possible goal.
Hope that helps! 🙂
