Hi guys, I'm a super senior, and have pretty much finished with both my degrees (double major--biology and psychology) and for the past couple years I was pre-dental, but I just decided I do not want to go in that route. Some methods I am not comfortable with
🙁 But I am looking into pharmacy and I'm very lost I don't know much about it.
I was wondering, when it says "PCAT not required" for certain schools, does that mean if you take the PCAT, that they don't even look at your pcat scores? (esp for california schools)
Also, another question, would it be realistic of me to apply this cycle, seeing that I have not had any real pharm tech experience, nor worked at a pharmacy yet...would that be looked down upon..(I will start shadowing later this month)
I also work as an assistant in a pharmacology & neuroscience lab on campus for the past year and half.
My overall gpa is competitive, it's 3.7 and science is probably about 3.4 (lower because I failed an intro bio class my first semester which is bringing it down, *sigh* freshman mistakes)
I haven't talked to my science advisor at school just yet, I just want to be certain I want to do pharmacy, then I will go to him. Also, is it true that when you apply for pharm schools, that it doesnt matter when you apply, its not first come first serve? So even if i complete application early, it wouldnt matter until the deadline?
Last question, for those of your smartypants who aced the pcat, what is the best resource/practice to use?
Thank you to anyone who is willing to help me, I glady appreciate it, it will calm my stress levels right now, since I've been in school forever and I just feel like I am going no where
