Hi, I got a mail from PCO saying, I need additional optometry experience or a written statement about my experiences. Eventhough I am schedule for an interview next month. Did anyone else ever receive anything like this?

Yup, I also received an interview from them in September. Then a couple weeks after that they sent me a letter in the mail saying they cant offer me an interview until I "take more science classes in 2010-2011 semester". It was a really unprofessional letter with spelling errors and maybe they forgot that 2010 already passed and I can't go back and take classes again. Anyways, that was enough for me to completely forget about the school.

Hmm...to the OP: Don't they just mean that they need a letter from an OD that you shadowed with? Call the school or email them for more information. They always got back to me quickly and with helpful responses during my application process.

Thanks for the replies. I call them back and said sorry we made a mistake. Seemed a little weird to me, your sending a letter saying all this without confirming things

lol pco is a bit strange and from an administrative point of view: un professional. They sent me a letter few weeks before my interview date to recommend retaking my oat, which I flat out refused (of course didn't tell them that). Then during my exit interview, the lady kept saying how awesome my score was. Lol w/e still a good school. 🙂
