A fellow SDNer has asked for help on a radio documentary. Maybe you can help out!
Doctors go to school for a few years then make a lot of money when they're done. Right?
Help tell the real story of medical school and residency training.
With the help of some award-winning documentarians I'm working on a radio documentary project that will look at real life in medical education - the daily grind, the obstacles, the little known facts. To make this story real we need to interview pre-medical students, medical students, interns, residents, and others involved in medical education. We'll also be interviewing regular people to get their views on medical school and the life of a doctor.
Interviews will be conducted by phone or voice chat software (such as Skype). Most will last between 5 and 15 minutes. Some will be done in person or in studio.
The final product will be made available to Public Radio stations across the country as well as some independent distributors. There is no monetary compensation for participation, but participants included in the final program will be given access to free copies.
Those with journalism and/or radio experience who want to volunteer to conduct interviews or otherwise help with the project may submit a brief personal bio and, if possible, a sample of past work.
