MD Help w/MD school list? High GPA/MCAT

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You look like what @Goro would call a rock star, so aim high. You've got stellar grades, a near-perfect MCAT, and very good ECs. Pick your state schools and any other California schools you like, including Stanford.

What is your cGPA/sGPA on a 4.0 scale?

If you indeed have a 3.9+ GPA then you have a shot at all the California MD schools and a handful of top-20. Your goal is to look at all these schools and see if you fit the mission and then craft your Personal Statement and secondaries to highlight your strengths and your "fit" with the mission of each school. Use the MSAR and all applicable school application sites to suss out their wants/needs in potential students. Then decide how many schools you want to apply to and pick those outside of California with care.

Hi everyone, just looking for a suggested school list for the upcoming application cycle in 2018. I hope to stay within CA so I will definitely be applying to almost all CA schools.

cGPa: 4.94 (sGPA: 4.86ish?)
MCAT: 527 (132/131/132/131)
California resident
ORM
Top-tier public university for undergrad
Not planning to take a gap year

200 hrs - scribing
400 hrs - volunteering in hospital and surveying patients for clinical research org; leadership position

1000+ hrs - working in basic science research lab; 2 posters; several research scholarships

600 hrs - volunteering and organizing free clinical services and English lessons for underserved community; leadership position
500 hrs - teaching science to minority students in summer program

100 hrs - MCAT instructor
50 hrs - mentoring younger undergrad students

30 hrs? - shadowing various physicians (not including scribing)

Have won a couple small scholarships at my school as well.

Not sure exactly what I want to do after medical school but I’m thinking of research or teaching as an attending physician. Might consider some public health work too.

Agree with Walt. Start with the California schools including Stanford and Keck and then work your way outward

Are these schools listed in any particular order?

When I first saw that 4.xx GPA, I wondered if you were a California resident from a very famous engineering school on the East Coast that calculated GPAs on a 5.0 scale.
