Hey, Kinda new to the forums. But i was wondering what is everyone's opinion of when should i apply for medical school? Is it true that the timing of the application plays a role? Im currently planning on taking the mcat on the end of july 2014, and I'm expected to graduate spring of 2015, I can squeeze in fall 2014 but don't wanna effect my gpa with extra classes, when should i apply?

June 3 2014, first day you can. Early is advantageous but they only look at your app after mcat score is received. At that point your app is considered "complete"

Ideally as soon as they start accepting applications.

When you have the best possible packet, and in June or July of whatever year that is.

So it would be wise to go ahead and start my application right? Im planning on doing in-state as well as out-of-state, does the same go with out-of-state?

Texas has its own application service. Otherwise, you'll be dealing with AMCAS for the out of states. It may be wise to begin drafting it.
