All of these symptoms began or worsened rapidly within a 6-month period:
1. Hearing Loss
2. Total Testosterone dropped from 650nd/dl to 170ng/dl
3. Nose partially blocked (likely a combination of enlarged turbinates, deviated septum, and collapsed cartilage)
4. Slow wound healing and chronic injuries. For example a canker sore has been present for weeks and shows little improvement.
5. Hair thinning/loss
6. Lazy eyelid on one side
7. Red/tearing eyes and eyelids
8. Loss of vision & near loss of consciousness when under stress while facing up (Example: using eyedrop or shoulder presses at gym).
9. Not as mentally sharp
A list of systematic (topicals excluded) medications is below:
Taken before symptoms began and after:
Androgel, Restoril, Doxylamine, Diphenhydramine, Valerian,
Medications switched near when symptoms began:
Doxycline/Minocycline -> Bactrim (for acne)
Medications taken after to treat symptoms:
Testosterone Cypionate (Androgel eliminated), Zyrtec, Propecia, Psuedoephedrine
Only symptoms have been treated. No clear cause for the changes has been identified, and the symptoms continue to worsen. Professionals in the related specialties have been stumped. Any ideas of possible causes?
