What does BCPM stand for, as it relates to the GPA listed on the application profiles? Little new to all this lingo😀

Bio, chem, physics, math; also known as the science GPA. Look for the 100+ page document on the AAMC website for definitions of what coursework counts.

Note that the definitions vary greatly between AMCAS, TMDSAS and AACOMAS.

Ha! I had the same questions. You will find the following website a very useful tool: http://www.acronymfinder.com/ Hope this helps!

BCPM stands for Biology Chemistry Physics Math

For post-bacs, do they count all undergraduate math, science, bio, physics into the BCPM? Or do they use only post-bac science grades? In other words, if you took a class in undergrad and retook it as a post-bac, do they count both grades, or the best grade? Is the BCPM the GPA listed as science GPA in the MSAR?

For AMCAS, they will count both grades. The gpa's for UG and post-bacc are listed individually, as well as an overall GPA.

BCPM = science GPA

If you apply to DO schools, they will only count the new grade (not the best) for your gpa.
