I'm doing an ACT elective and I'm supposed to give a 15-20 minute talk to the team at the end of my rotation. I think other students have done smoking and schizophrnenia, substance abuse stuff and I'm not sure what else. I was told not to do substance abuse because the team is pretty well-versed on that topic. I've been looking for awhile and I still do not have any good ideas about what to talk about. The deadline is approaching fast! The team is made up of nurses, social workers, peers, as well as a psychiatrist. The majority of the patients suffer from psychotic disorders so I'd like to find something interesting/helpful within that subject that I could share with them. Anyone have any ideas?

Do these patients only need the ACT intervention because they are psychotic and they are substance abusers? Once you answer that, you probably will have lots of things to discuss.

Good luck. 🙂
