Hello,
I recently got accepted to Sullivan University College of pharmacy and PCOM college of pharmacy. Sullivan University offered me admission for the next cycle which is class of 2016, meaning I have to wait one year to be enrolled. With PCOM, I can start right away this August. I live in Atlanta Georgia and really like Sullivan because they have the dual PharmD/MBA program, plus everything can be done within three years. The only drawback is that they are 8 hours away from where I live. Also, if I choose Sullivan, I will have time to complete a degree in Forensic Chemistry and maybe try for DAT, yup, dental school (Just to know how far I can go, nothing else)
About PCOM, PCOM has not yet fully accredited but they're in candidate status. The only reason I prefer PCOM is that it is close to my family, friends, girlfriend, everything. I know I can do part time MBA after getting a pharmD but it will cost a lot more and take more time.
My stats is 3.90 GPA cummulative, 114 credits, 2 years of pharmacy volunteering, deanlist, 1 year of research.
PCAT is pretty low : 45 🙂
Please kindly give me some advise 🙂

Hey, I know this is a little late, but not to sound bias (as I am in Sullivan's program-Im on my last year on rotations now) but Sullivan is great! Also you can get your MBA while taking PharmD classes. Since Sullivan does not require you to take the PCAT With your acedemic standing I think your in a great potential candidate seat for Sullivan! Plus I can assure you (not to DIS the other 3 yr RX schools) that you will not get the experience/knowledge and respect/kindness with Prof, that you will get here at Sullivan!

Why would you go to dental school after pharmacy school? Unless if you and/or your parents are very rich, you do know that you'll be accumulating hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt for that education, right?

If it is close to friends fam and girlfriend (unless by fam you mean kids of your own) you may want to go further away. Going off of your stats, you probably didn't think the PCAT was extremely difficult, you most likely studied poorly, didn't study, etc. bc of some sort of time management issues. Many schools are lenient on a bad PCAT, but you dont want to be scraping by on time. Just my $1/50
