Hey guys, i wanted some advice here. Im not sure if anyone knows this, but do dental schools look at you GPA as a whole? As in, i had an undergraduate gpa of 2.8 (very low i know) but My masters in biomedical science gpa was a 3.72. So would they take the average of this? Or would they consider the fact that I was able to bring my gpa up during my masters to a 3.72? I am very worried about this because I really do want a chance at Getting into dental school which is why I joined a masters program.

They do look at your application as a whole - they don't necessarily average the two GPAs since they're different in their rigor and graduation requirements. But doing well in your masters gives you a better chance, and your masters GPA is really strong, so well done! If you have a strong DAT score to match (22+), I'd apply to your state schools + privates that aren't too pricey.

Thank you!! Yes I was hoping that they would take into account that my masters GPA was highly improved.
