Hey,
This is one of the problems from the opted test, and I am having a hard time figuring it out:

A 12-volt battery with an internal resistance of 1-ohm resistor. Which of the following is the current in amperes that flows in the circuit?
A) 4
B) 3
C) 9
D) 12
E) 48

The answer is B. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!!

That doesn't make any sense. The current in a circuit is a function of total resistance and potential electrical distance, i.e. V=IR --> I = V/R = 12/1 = 12Amps should be the correct answer.

Ya, that's what I thought the answe was, too. I double checked the answer and it said B. Maybe it was a typo??

I was actually wondering about that question too! I was thinking maybe it had something to do with it being an "internal resistance" but then after looking into it, I just assumed it was a typo...
