Hello I am doing an independent study at my current undergraduate school. I'm struggling with my assignment which is:
a. describe the structure and function of the plantar fascia.
b. describe the structure of the rearfoot and forefoot.
c. describe the structure and function of the static stabilizers of the forefoot.
d. describe the structure and function of the static stabilizers of the forefoot.
e. describe the loads placed upon the rearfoot and forefoot during normal gait.
f. describe the specific purpose of orthotic intervention to address abnormal rearfoor and forefoot function during gait.
I was wondering if anyone has any articles, journals, research, or personal papers that you have done that you think would help me. I honestly didn't know what I was getting myself into and I'm having a hard time finding information to answer these questions (especially e-f). If you have links are articles you could personal message me or post on here. I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks

If you can't answer those questions, I think your school practices grade inflation and you are benefitting big time.

Seriously, are you joking?

You should probably learn how to read. The post says the OP is still in undergrad 🙄

No, you hould learn to read.

His undergrad institution must be a joke if he is having a hard time with a 1st year undergrad book report type project.

Thanks for the input. You must be so smart. I really wish I was as knowledgeable and intelligent as you. I'm sure you go or went to a superior undergraduate institution compared to mine, I'm sure that you are at a better podiatry school than the one I will be attending next year, I'm sure you will be a placed in a better residency program than me.................... Because you think its cool and to post smartass replies ON AN ONLINE FORUM boasting how this would be a breeze for YOU in undergraduate school. You are immature and you are probably afraid to interact and confront others in the real world so instead you use the internet to do so. Either way, I'm sure you are a really awesome person in real life and you must be smarter than me! Could it be a possibility that I would like other people's input on a topic which I am inexperienced in, or maybe I just would like additional resources and am struggling with some of the specific details within my paper? I am not doing some "book report," its a independent study and its not like its some 5-10 page paper either. Try 30+, I'm just asking for help.

Next time just don't post anything and don't act surprised and get defensive when you read this and respond all pissed off. YOU were the one being rude to begin with.

Whiskers,

This poster simply came on the site to ask a question, not to get ridiculed. If you didn't have a constructive answer and had no intention on helping, was it really necessary to post negative comments and be sarcastic?

I really don't believe that's the purpose of this website. When people are looking for help, either offer assistance or simply don't answer.

footpro,

here is a link to a book on google that you might find useful:

http://books.google.com/books?id=YQCKPj5PdxQC&pg=PA222&lpg=PA222&dq=basic+biomechanics+of+the+foot&source=bl&ots=_UorcOHmzS&sig=HrtbQs6O3oEvREPEVl9ETJ6C2UI&hl=en&ei=UY0kS9LAAYG1tgeetZ3QBw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=6&ved=0CBYQ6AEwBQ#v=onepage&q=basic%20biomechanics%20of%20the%20foot&f=false

for articles on orthotic intervention, i would just type keywords on your respective school's library search engine (if they have access to pubmed ect).

good luck.

I know this post is a couple of weeks old, hope I'm not too late to answer.

For the last question, you can try JPO (Journal of Prosthetics & Orthotics), you can view some of the older issues for free.

I actually used that as a source as well. I finished my research paper and got an A so thanks for the help.

He's not a pre-psych no one knows what he is, he only put that there to be funny...or an attempt to be funny at least.
