I have an assignment for a 10-page Research paper on a disease state and a related drug. I would like any recommendation on a topic to cover.

I was considering COPD (chronic bronchitis, asthma, emphysema) and related drugs to treat but that may be a bit too much.

I work in a pharmacy where ADHD medication seems to be overly prescribed. Keep in mind this is an extremely wealthy area in the north shore of Illinois. In lower socioeconomic areas, these types of medications arent filled as much. I wonder why that is. Anyways, you should do ADHD and the drugs that treat it =)

I see the opposite in my area. More lower income people's children are on ADHD plus other peripheral meds (clonidine and risperadal)

That's interesting. My pharmacist owns two pharmacies. The other pharmacy is in a poorer area and fills a lot more pain medication than anything else. lol
