I am graduating with BS in December and I have just taken the MCAT.
I just wanted to see what are other people thinking about different DO schools.I could probably get info form official websites about the schools but I want the info from real people).

For example :

*Which schools did you guys liked the most and why?

*What do you think about AZCOM and Touro DO , in CA?

* What schools are really friendly and care about their students?(funny question I know)

* I have seen that DO in Michigen accepts student with MCAt 18, this low, is that possible?

The base line is that I really want to get in school where I will enjoy the enviroment and be kind of close to home in AZ.

Your comments are greatly appreciated!

I have never been in this area of CA how is it there?
So why Touro?🙂 How does it compare with other schools?

Oh I see, you said Touro in NV

There are two D.O. schools in California....Tuoro-CA and Western Univ-COMP....there are multiple threads discussing these schools. They're both good schools and you just have to get down to what's specific for you and what you like in schools. Remember to apply EARLY...believe me...it'll SAVE you time and stress down the road. If you've specific questions about Western-COMP....feel free to PM me....as I'll be going there in the Fall🙂

Honestly, there is no way every one could discuss every school on here. We would have so many wars that Bush would forget about Iraq. Your best bet is just keeping track of all the threads both here and in the Osteo forum. Click on all the pages and read all the threads. You will get a feel for each school.

Pearls of Wisdom: If you have the money, apply early and to MANY MANY schools. DO NOT turn down an interview. Judge for yourself about your "feeling" for the school. Think about what YOU are looking for and see what fits. Use SDN as a tool: Take every thing with a grain of salt and understand that it is an anonymous forum where people can say what they please, false and true.

👍 👍 👍

If you live close to one of the schools you are interested in you could arrange a tour. This is nice thing to do, so you aren't doing it when you're all nervous during the interview. You can also ask the admissions staff about your application.
