Stony Brook, U Wisconsin, Kirk Kerkorian, Virginia Tech and Rutgers admit few non residents with no connection to the state. You could add any of these schools:
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Albany
New York Medical College
Drexel
Jefferson
George Washington
Eastern Virginia
NOVA MD
Belmont
Rosalind Franklin
Western Michigan
Oakland Beaumont

Welcome to the forums.

I know this isn't your AAMC application but...

1) How is hobby run club listed as "non-clinical volunteering"?

2) What did you doo with your other activities (homeless shelter, red cross, church/faith community), and how are they related with each other and your ultimate goal to become a physician?

3) How many hours are you attributing to your leadership? How many hours among the 200 for shelter, 400 for church, 800 for the run cub, and 300 with Red Cross constitutes leadership?

4) How many hours as a desk attendant (where... at the shelter? for your church?)? How many hours as a test proctor?

Medical school admissions is not a transaction or a dating app where if you hit GPA, MCAT, and experience hours, you can print your ticket to medical school. The details and mission fit are much more important. Right now, I don't see the purpose of your pursuit to become a physician from the information here.

Hi, thanks for pointing those issues out.

1. that was a mistakes oops, I meant that as just a significant non clinical experience not volunteer experience, thank you

2. to be completely honest I feel like my app suffers from a common issue amongst many other CA ORM students in that there's not a super clear narrative as to why I want to be a doctor in my app. I just figured being a doctor was a practical job and as cliche as it sounds I really do want to do a job that helps people who need it. Ideally I guess I would try to tie in all of the community service efforts from my church (homeless care packages, sock drives, meal distributions, etc.) with my leadership in setting up and running a weekly community coffee and bagel event for the homeless. And the different community service efforts done as vice president of red cross (blood drives, beach cleanups, CPR trainings, etc.).

3. about half of the hours for each position could be considered leadership hours at an estimate?

4. I worked as a desk attendant at my school's residence hall, about 15 hours a week for 3 years. I worked as a test proctor about 5 hours a week for 1.5 years. These were honestly just jobs that I took to have money and can't say they were super significant in my premed journey specifically, but I thought I might as well mention any jobs I had.

Thank you so much for your feedback and time, that was genuinely very helpful to get me to just think about it all. I'm pretty nervous that my application will just look super average because there's no clear spike and being a CA ORM. I was hoping my school list could optimize my chances.
