Here are my stats:
first MCAT: 27L P:8 V:11 B:8
second MCAT: 31 P:10 V:11 B: 10
cGPA: 3.85 sGPA: 3.75
BS in psychology and BS in biology
Started full time ER scribe in June 2013
Non-clinical volunteering: started crisis hotline in April 2014. Will continue and I expect to have 600+ hours at end of year
Worked part time throughout college 16 hours/week
EC include independent research project, resident assistant x 1 year, student org president x 1 year, IRB member x 1 year, and some other activities
Went to a medium sized state school graduated May 2013
Other information:
Re-applicant (currently on WL at VCU and SLU)
Probable reason for unsuccessful year: Applied late. Secondaries submitted in November last year & poor school selection
Things I have done to improve app: new LOR from ER doc; new volunteering position at hotline; enrolled at major state university as non-degree seeking grad student- will be taking classes in Fall
