I was in a very odd situation last year and submitted my application before taking the DAT, but due to life happening (won't bore you with details) I was never able to take the DAT and so I am applying again this year. I was just wondering if anyone could help with the school list.

My overall GPA and science GPA are both around 3.1 but I have a very strong upward trend. I have my DAT scheduled for August 14 and I plan to KILL IT. Also I am a Florida resident.

University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry (USC)

University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (UOP)

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Dental Medicine (LECOM-FL)

Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine (NSU)

University of Florida College of Dentistry (FLA)

Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Illinois (MWU-IL)

Boston University Henry M Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BU)

Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUF)

University of New England College of Dental Medicine (UNE)

New York University College of Dentistry (NYU)

Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine (USN)

These are the schools I have so far, but I want to increase my chances by applying to at least 6 or 7 more schools. I was wondering if anyone could add/delete from this list. Thank you!!

I won't consider applying to California. They don't like us (Florida residents) for some reason.

Any reason why you put 3 lines between every school?

update this thread with a DAT score.

since you're confident on your DAT then you should add
midwestern (AZ), ASDOH

(if you dont mind the eastern region) then, Pitt

Thanks! I'm going to add Pitt. I was on the fence about it bc I've read conflicting stats about their oos acceptance.

Also i would update with a DAT score but I wanted to submit before my DAT. Could be a terrible idea, I know

Not a terrible idea! they just wont look at your application until you have your DAT in. So it's better to make sure everything is sent in now. I meantioned Pitt because my brother is a D2 there and he had the same GPA, but with a 22AA. And were from Texas. So .... you never know lol

I'd replace Lecom with something else, but yeah... as someone else stated, those extra lines between schools were painful to look at and caused me a lot of eye strain.
