I'm trying to make a school list for OOS schools in addition to all the schools in Texas. I have a preliminary school list but if I could get any recommendations or suggestions, I'd really appreciate it!

White female, TX resident. Attend UT Austin. Biochemistry major/CS minor.
cGPA: 3.75 sGPA: 3.65
MCAT: 514 (129/130/128/127)

Clinical volunteering: 250 hours hospital volunteering in the ER.
Non-clinical volunteering: 60 hours volunteering with the developmentally disabled, 80 hours volunteering with high school students from low SES backgrounds and revising their essays, member of a service org and do ~30 hours a semester in various projects.
Research: two summers of cancer research at a hospital, with a manuscript under review (I'm not sure if it will be published by the time I apply though), 1 semester on drug delivery. I also did a semester of CS/physics research for lab credit but I'm not sure if it's applicable or worth adding.
Shadowing: 10 hours pediatrics, 10 hours psychiatry at county psych ward, 10 hours cardiology. I'm looking to squeeze in some more shadowing, and some other clinical experience if I were to do a gap year.
Extracurriculars/employment:
- school newspaper, first as a writer doing 1-2 articles/week and then as an editor
- editor for my institution's research journal
- freelance write articles for a law firm
- social/service org - lots of volunteering
- few hackathons, was a finalist at one.

Current OOS school list:
Albert Einstein School of Medicine
Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science
Duke University School of Medicine (reach)
Emory University School of Medicine
Quinipiacc
Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
Hofstra
New York Medical College
Thomas Jefferson
Tulane
UMich ???
University of Pittsburgh
University of Rochester
Wake Forest
Virginia Tech

According to adcoms on this site OOS MD schools generally avoid interviewing Texas residents since they assume they will attend a Texas MD school. The exceptions would be if you attended undergraduate school in the state, have a connection to the state, high stat applicants, URM or legacy. You could try the newer schools such as Quinnipiac, Oakland Beaumont, NOVA MD, Seton Hall and California University.
