I just realized that one of my primary activities has the same description as another. Given that I reference the correct activity in this description, this means one of my activities has a conflicting description. The activity is relatively self-explanatory, but I am worried that the conflicting description could confuse adcoms and cause the application to be tossed out. I checked my application several times, but I must have just missed this completely. My application has already gone out to the individual schools. Should I individually email each school? Mention this in my gap year essay? Attach the correct description to my secondaries in the documents section? Leave it alone? Grateful for any advice.

As a follow up question, given that the error will be noticeable, would it be better to email with the correct description? I am unsure if an adcom would miss it.

Frankly, they are likely to miss the emailed correction. Given how one's eyes glaze over when reading these things, they may think it is them, not you when there is a sense of deja vu while reading one description.

Leave it be. If you want to ask in the confidential forum to given greater details, please do so.
