Hi, i am a senior bio major with 3.87 Cum GPA and 3.87 SGPA and i will apply in the next application cycle, but i am worried because I have four W's so far; two are from this semester so do u guys think it will badly effect my application!. Also, an opportunity came up to me to shadow with a dentist whose a faculty member in one of the dental schools in my state,, does it matter to the addcom if i have a LOR from one of their faculty members especially that is late now to start shadowing at a new office leaving the office where i've been shadowing for few month so far,,,,,,,,,thanx guys for advice.

I don't believe those W's are going to effect you... 3.8 GPA means your a good student. As far as the LOR goes, if there really was an issue, the dentist/adcom would tell you about it. Since he never brought it up, its most likely not an issue.

Yea lol, but how would I know what the adcom would say, it didn't start yet, iam talking about the next application cycle that will start in june

any one would like to share his opinion, i am really interested on hearing from more people

The W's won't play a major role. They will more than likely never even be brought up in an interview, but if they are, just explain the honest reason you withdrew and it should not be an issue. As for the LOR, why would this be an issue? Is the faculty member adjunct or full time? Either way, the adcom at that school will have a trustworthy source and no other school will even know who he/she is. You still have time to shadow this dentist enough before the cycle starts so it won't look like you got an LOR from him last minute. Your GPA is great so assuming tour DAT is/will be decent, I'd say you have a good shot. Good luck
