I know this is such a silly question but I dont know how to answer the question in my personel statment about why I want to go to osteopathy school. Very honestly , only reason I want to go is because I like their philosophy of treating patient. But I know that is not good enough. Besides that I dont have too much room to write big stories. so what should I do?

just answer truthfully... and you'll be fine.. Honesty is important..

If you've shadowed a DO and have seen firsthand how wonderful ostepathic medicine is, give an example from your experience. But I agree with Milemarker...sincerety is most important.

What I would do (and in fact I did) is first mentally compare the differences in philosophy between allopathic and osteopathic medicine. This is where research comes into play. Once you have done that, expand on the positives of osteopathic medicine being careful not to dog allopathic medicine.

Hope this helps.
