if you dont get an interview to a school, do they let you know, or do you have to keep waiting until march? ive been waiting for kcom and nova, but with the holidays everything stopped and now im just losing it. i know they email you if you get an interview, but is there anything that definitively tells you youre done? 😕 im also waiting for lecom-b, lecom-e, pcom-atlanta... but with the holidays i couldnt call about my file. i was an august mcat so im at the late end of everything (aacomas didnt finish primary app til end of october). any advice would be greatly appreciated, im flipping out over here... thanks.

I think most schools will send you the “thank you for applying but we are not going to offer you an interview” letter.

I know LECOM is a little slow with their admit paperwork, so just hang in there. Maybe call later this week and inquire about your application status. Good luck! 🙂

I would call/shoot an email. Dont stress! Just know that the offices will be extremely busy this week once they open tomorrow (considering the holiday season).

I got an invite from PCOM-Ga and a word of warning: They give you an interview date that is almost exactly 2 weeks from the date of invite. Not much time.

called both lecom's and found out my file is under review at one and about to go into review in a week or so at the other one.. and called two other schools that must hate me and were rude 🙁 trying to stay optimistic... the only thing that gives me hope is that my files werent complete til december (early december for one and lecom's and ccom are just now going in for review. i mean there's still time for an interview right? im getting freaked out because its january and i know most of the seats are filled... any encouragement, thanks 😕

Keep in mind that you only think that most of the seats in med schools are filled by January because that's what you hear on SDN. And it's not true. Many, many people are accepted even in March and April regular decision. In addition, even if you are interviewed late there's always the chance that you'll get off the waiting list.

I wouldn't stress it. Call/email them (although no one seems to ever answer their email) and make sure your file is complete. After that, there's really not much more you can do.

It is possible that you will not hear from them until the interviews are completely finished.
