Hi everyone,

i'm a newcomer; just joined SDN b/c i really need some help. I'm a 4th year D.O. student and working on residency applications. I've taken both comlex and usmle. i did horrible on comlex step 1: 478, but step 2 last week i'm sure went well; i thought the test was a joke. usmle step 1 score was a 208. I took usmle step 2 on friday and i'm freaking out now b/c i felt like i knew nothing and felt like i guessed on the majority of the questions. I'm so afraid that i failed even though i completed all of usmleworld. Now is there anyway, that i can release my step 1 scores but not my usmle step 2? I still have not submitted by eras applications. I'm going into Neurology and i really wanted to match in an allopathic program in chicago.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but here's my 2 cents:
I've heard that as long as you get your USMLE transcript release submitted before the scores are back they will not be on your app until you manually release them. i think usual score reporting is about a month and for anything mid august and later they said it would be mid october before you get scores back. So you should be good...

I don't know if your USMLE transcript will show that you already took the test or for those of us taking it soon if it tells the date we take it. This could raise some questions by programs as to where's the scores lebowski.

i was under the impression that you can go and submit your score release, but if your scores are back before the day you submit your app (Sept. 2nd) that they will still go out.

does anyone know for sure?
