I'm a rising senior and will be applying to college in the fall. I know I have a while to choose, but I still can't decide whether to choose dental or pharmacy. I like both of them because of the flexible hours, the hands on experience, and good pay. I'm still unsure about the working envioronments though. Most of the dentists I talked to were in small practices(many times their own), and pharmacists were in retail stores like CVS. I'm probably going to end up going to the University of Minnesota, and their dental and pharmacy schools are both ranked in the top 5. Could anyone give me a little bit more information on these 2 paths? Thanks.

Take a look at the FAQs found here. There's a lot of info there that will get you started, including the different pharm careers out there. I think there is a similar FAQ on the Pre-Dental forum. Definitely get some experience in both!
