Hi Everyone,

I totally blew my DAT yesterday(07/13/09). I will list my scores below and would appreciate any advise. If I re-take the DAT in 90 days, won't that be too late to be accepted for 2010. I do have my application in to the AADSAS and they mailed it out to the (13) schools I applied to. My alternate plan was to re-take it next year at this time, I will have graduated (did it in 3 years), no more summer school, can devote my studying to the DAT totally, but really wanted to get in 2010(not to mention all the money I would have to spend again). Please, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

DAT Scores:

PA - 16
QR - 17
RC - 22
Bio - 16
GC - 17
OC - 15
TS - 16
AA - 17

GPA🙁Per AADSAS)

BCP - 3.70
Science - 3.64
Non-Science - 3.77
Total - 3.67

Have pretty good extracurriculars, shadowed etc...!!

I'd retake it in 90 days if I were in your position. You have a good GPA, so if you do well on the DAT, you'll still have a chance for interviews. Just let the schools know you are retaking and they will probably set your application aside until your new scores come in. This way you have a chance and don't have to waste one year plus all that application money.

Thanks!.........do you think an Letter to the ADMIN would be good enough letting them know that I'm retaking the DAT in 90 days?

Yeah, if you write a letter addressed directly to the student admissions office it should be fine, but just call the schools now and let them know you'll be sending a letter as well.
