Hey guys I just took my dat today and got:

PAT: 18
QR: 14
RC: 21
BIO: 18
GC: 20
OC: 19
TS: 19
AA: 18

I'm completely horrified at my QR score because I NEVER scored that low on any practice that I did. I honestly don't know what happened on that section 🙁 I know people say QR is the section that you shouldn't worry much about but on the other hand 14 is super low 🙁 I am a junior and plan on applying early (as soon as applications open) so do you guys think I stand a chance or should I retake because of my QR score? I have a 3.5 gpa for science and overall and am a biology major. Thanks in advanve to any help y'all can give!

Your scores are fairly solid; however, if you had achieved scores around 23 / 24 in some of the sciences that would have bumped up your TS and AA, and at that point I would be confident in saying you have a shot (not a great shot but a shot) at some schools. Having said that, your scores in the sciences and PAT are good but not spectacular enough to disregard the QR. I suggest you contact a handful of schools you want to attend and ask for their opinion on the QR section. Schools vary in their opinion regarding QR. Good luck!

well texas2013, I am from UT too...
Some schools come to mind like pittsburgh that recommend at least 16 in each section. get either the dat achiever or destroyer math to help you with math.

You did a pretty good job on the test, with the exception of the QR section. It seems like since you never scored anything that low while studying. Perhaps it's just that a fluke that you didn't do well. I think you could only improve your score so I suggest a retake. To be honest with you though, I've seen someone get in with a 14 on QR. However, that is not the norm so maybe call the schools you are really interested in and ask them.
