Any info on the Pros and Cons of the five programs:

Children's Hospital/Boston Medical Center Program
Massachusetts General Hospital Program
Tufts Medical Center Program
Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine Program
University of Massachusetts Program

Come on people, there have GOT to be some of you with helpful info. I'm interviewing at Tufts (floating), and would love to hear any feedback. If you don't want to post, feel free to PM me.

I didn't rank Tufts floating cuz their cafeteria was an Au Bon Pain and I f-ing hate sandwiches. I also tuned out about halfway through the interview because it was my last one. good luck.

Umm... not to be rude, but I somehow don't think that was very helpful.

Obviously Children's/BMC is like the Mecca of Peds and I think anyone who gets an interview there is likely to rank it at top.

The Floating/Tufts and MGH programs remain highly competitive and really it depends on what fits you better.. From what I have heard some of the attendings at MGH are 'strong-minded'.. Floatings is more friendly 😀

Baystate and UMass are great programs.. just the right amount of education and fun..👍

Good luck

UMass and MGH are both great, friendly programs that put a lot of emphasis on teaching. Children's is obviously an incredible place, but is one of the two most competitive peds programs in the country along with CHOP, and also is one of the more difficult programs in terms of call schedule, etc. I have a friend there and she loves it, but she works her ASS off, and clearly doesn't have an extremely tight knit class (how can you when there are 40 interns). She does, however, have some very good friends in her class.
