Can someone please tell me why I am scoring so dam low in gen chem (15's-16's) on kaplan tests?! I am getting very frustrated.

Info: I know DAT Destroyer well (i.e. get 90% of the questions right and understand them)

However, kaplan problems are just simply much harder than destroyer IMO.. Anyone else out there with this problem? I am very worried considering my test is next week.

organic is OK, has been ranging from 19-27 on the kaplan practice tests from online.

Other major concern: I need help with bio.. big time. (scoring 15-18) IMO Kaplan White Book is poorly poorly written- since when do books get published without 1st grade sentence structure?

Anyways, I have Barrons AP Bio. Is it enough? It is written so much better than kaplan. I actually understand it, you know?

Barron's AP Bio + Destroyer Bio + little over one week + scoring ~16 now = ? by test time

Don't depend too much on the Barron's book. I've read that there are a lot of errors in it. I think Destroyer is a great resource, so definitely utilize it. Idk what to say about your gchem scores. I suggest you take the 2007 or 2009 DAT that ADA released to see where you're really at. Good luck!! 🙂

Barrons AP Biology book has a lot of errors? Are you sure you are not referring to Barons DAT Book.... they are too different ones... and I will try and take those released ones.... i took some other released ones and scored 17 or 18 on the gen chem... idk

Yeah. The Kaplan practice tests for general chemistry were harder than the other materials I used. I always scored lower than 15 on all my practice tests. I also think that the actual test was much easier than the non-sense questions that Kaplan asked. I think you will be fine as long you are scoring better on other practice materials. Good Luck!

buddy, the material isn't harder. It's just not covered in the destroyer. I remember getting three questions on normality and specific gravity.. I thought the same thing.. Don't mind it though.

I think if you know Barron AP and Destroyer Bio front to back, you will get around 20.
