Features of hepatitis A viral infections include:

a) high incidence of morbidity and less than 1 percent mortality
b) insidious onset and long incubation period
c) acquisition generally by non-parenteral routes
d) transmission only through blood or blood products

1. a and b
2. a and c
3. a and d
4. b and c
5. b and d

answer: 2

Why is C a correct choice? Isn't Hepatitis A acquired parenerally? I thought the answer would be 1.

the ans is 2
because Hep A transmission is by Fecal- Oral route , ie non-parental rotes
n also the incubation period is 2-6 weeks ie not too long
hope this helps

wait...doesn't fecal-oral mean parenteral?
So, non-parenteral means non-fecal oral, right?

I've been seeing a bunch of odd answers in this exam...maybe it's a poorly written question?

parentral means via needles
feco-oral is when something u eat is infested w/ fecal matter....mostly in crowded areas/bad sanitation
hope i helped.
