please give me some help.

here's my situation:

i received all 3 inoculations of Hep B vaccines when I was a baby.

thus I naturally assumed that i would have immunity.

I went to the doctor's office today and found out that i have no immunity to hep B from a blood test that was done a couple weeks ago.

I'm going to receive the 3 inoculations of the vaccine again but the deadline for my health history is at the end of june. The inoculations for hep B are usually give months apart and a blood test is usually done 4-6 weeks after the last inoculation.

my doctor said that I can receive all 3 inoculations spaced apart within a month and I should be able to receive all 3 shots before the deadline.

But the problem is that I also need to do a blood test which can take some time and won't be able to make it by the deadline.

What should I do? 🙁
Will the school pull my offer if I can't get the blood test result in on time?

do what you can do before you start dental school. everything else you can do later. you can always call the admissions office and let them know you will be in the cycle of hep b and will need to finish after the deadline when your titer comes back. this is really a small issue, you won't be rejected due to this.

Our immunization instructions stated that as long as we had begun the Hep. B Vaccination process by the deadline, there would be no problem. You're fine.

Don't worry, I had the same thing happen to me. I had the vaccine for Hep B in highschool when I was working as an assistant, and when I got my titer it hadn't stuck, so I had to do the series again. I'm guessing it was shortly after I was born that they started doing Hep B at birth, as I got that wrong an an Immunology midterm today, haha.

thanks for the reassurance!
i'll call health services tomorrow to confirm.

Same situation as me! UCLA though requires the first two done before orientation. Good luck! Just got my second one and the nurse looked at me weird when she saw I had like a full series before when I was young. But doctor knows best!
