say we have 500ml of 4 M KOH and we titrate it against 200 ml of H2S04...what will the Molarity of the acid be? HINT,,,,,,Dont just say MV=MV is bye bye !!!! Ask Gesebo...she is good !!!!!! 🙂

nice problem? r u serious? :laugh:

base.....=...acid
i * V * M = i * V * M
1 * 500 * 4 = 2 * 200 * M

M = 5

Key here is since we have a diprotic acid, the molarlity can be thought of as two times as much. (you can think of it as normality as well). So:

(500ml)(4M KOH) = 2 (200ml)( ? M)

? M = 5M is the molarity of the acid.

Is that right?
