If they don't have essays, 5+. Honestly though, I only applied to a dozen schools, and most have at least a couple essays, so no more than 2 in a day is realistic for me.

Depends... I can now write a diversity essay in 15 minutes, but if it's an unusual question, I can take quite a bit longer.

Agreed, the secondaries seem to get easier and easier the more you complete because the same questions keep coming up.

Probably 1 secondary every 2 days or more. My approach is to do a lot of thorough research to understand what exactly is the school looking for in an applicant first, instead of shooting from the hip and hoping that they also see that I am a "Unique butterfly that p****s rainbows and s***ts unicorns". Also +1 on the more you do, the easier they get, partially because you already have a good idea on what to write after about 5-6 of 'em.

Holy ****!

I also am a unique butterfly that pisse$ rainbows and $****s unicorns. Good to know.

I feel that any more than 1 a day and I'm not getting quality. I'm actually averaging one a day as I'm working on more than one each day, but each one takes a few days to think over, review, have other people read, etc. so I'm submitting about 1 a day or so.

I had a similar approach at first, now I'm coming to realize that secondaries are secondary. The app is built on everything else (and the interview).

I look at secondaries as a pass/fail. Or just an opportunity to display your personality/character.
