As you can see, I am having trouble getting 18 on RC section.

I am a senior majoring in biochemistry, and my cum gpa is 3.41, although my gpa for junior year is 3.66, and gpa for senior year is 3.83.

I know many factors gets to be considered in the admission process, but does the number look okay? or should I retake DAT?

Honestly your DAT scores are pretty jaw droppingly high😱 minus RC.

When you are taking courses in dental school, you will have plenty of time to read and comprehend material when you study, I feel like your RC score should be overlooked because given the time, you clearly can comprehend material as displayed by your crazy high scores.

I'm not knowledgeable on this, but I do know that dental schools have certain cutoff scores. Your other scores are so high though, that I wouldn't think it matters. Better safe than sorry though.

Can anyone else comment about cutoffs?

Your GPA is clearly showing a great trend and kudos for doing so with a major like biochem!

As far as recommending you retaking, I can't say for certain because I'm not sure how the whole "cut off" scores process works in dental schools. I can imagine that you'd be a pretty competitive applicant AA wise though. 21/22 AA is def top 10%!

To me, your retry hurt you. You have lower overall scores now. True, schools may have certain cutoffs, but considering your overall scores, they would most likely let it slide. The first round of scores was amazing, don't know why or who suggested you retake them.

I guess I will just apply to school with those scores for this year.

If I get rejected this year, I will prepare a lot for another year and apply again. I am sure I will get better score on RC section.

Thank you for the reply!
