Hey guys, i am a senior and planning to apply directly into 6 year pharmacy program. i wanted to know what my chances at these school;

Rutgers University
University of science in philadelphia
St.John's university
Duquesne universiy
Albany college of pharmacy
Mass. college of pharamcy

My Stats are not really really good but are comparable. My HS Gpa is around 3.4xx according to my school with 93+ considering "A" and 85+ considering a "B". i dont know if these schools will recalculate my gpa but hopefully they do 😛 because my HS stinks 🙁 haha..my SAT scores are 1020 without writing and hopefully it will improve when i get my new scores on NOV 3 =)..btw i am pennsylvania's resident and will get some LOR from my math/science teachers..hopefully....any help will be appreciated and feel free to add / del any schools that i am not qualified to get into...thanks

You can get a relatively good idea of the type of students they look for by going to each school's website and reading the stats of students accepted into their programs in previous years. Best of luck to you :luck:

You'll get into St. John's University.. its actually not that hard of a school to get into. My GPA was lower than yours, and I got in. But my SAT score was 1190.

I am in a six year program right now. The average high school GPA of our freshman class is a 3.89, but I didn't apply to those schools so I don't know what those schools are looking for.

yea my SAT is pretty bad (specially critical reading)... hopefully i did better on the last SAT...

Anyone from this forum attends USP who is doing 6 year program? holla 😀

btw thanks for reply...i was feeling lonely 🙂

Regarding Philadelphia, I just got my acceptance for 0-6 program at USP (I love that college-my 1st choice of campuses)-my stats are 3.48 in HS(unweighted-mostly honor's classes but no AP classes) and SAT's (excluding writing) 1290. I havn't heard definites from the other ones I applied to, but I have an interview at Findlay in Dec...once I hear anything, I could let you know what they say-Good luck!

I'm from rutgers (not in their pharmacy school) but I know rutgers is very very competitive nowadays. 4 yrs ago USP, LIU, and St.Johns were known as less competitive but i'm not sure how it is now. Def make up for your stats with volunteering/work experience, clubs etc. good luck!

Findlay is addressed in another thread, but long and short, it is precanditate (not fully accredited) and it is too late to apply for next fall based on what I saw on their website.

lol really...i just applied yesterday because it was free...they say they want everything in by DEC 1 (transcript SAT/ACT etc) i will try to get everything in b4...do u think they will still consider my application?
