I just found out that Harvard and UCLA, my top 2 choices, look at your high school transcript and your SAT scores!!!! I did really bad in my high school freshman year and slacked off a bit in my senior year. Im freaking out thinking that now I'll never get into those schools even with perfect GPAs and DATs and ECs. All my dreams are crushed and now I'm depressed. I didn't know that bad high school grades would haunt me like this. In all seriousness, will bad high school grades show inconsistency and would thus lead to rejections from both schools? I don't know what to think anymore.

Is this thread serious?

Do dental schools care more about:
A.) "Perfect" College GPA, DAT, EC
B.) Average High School GPA and SAT
C.) Your 40 yd. dash time
D.) How many hot-dogs you can eat in 30 minutes
E.) A and D

As a serious applicant for Harvard and UCLA, I'm assuming you can come to the right conclusion.

Hint: It's not B.

oh, and to the OP... i'm sure you'll be fine man. just work hard in college. they won't throw away a good applicant based on his A- instead of A+ in his freshman year Algebra class lol. if anything, they use it to differentiate between two equally strong applicants, and once you've been deemed a "strong applicant" by Harvard University, you're still bound to be an overall success in life.

Exactly. If the OP can make it to the Harvard interview stage, where the high school transcript is actually needed, then that means the overall application is very strong.

Yeah this beats the 3.94 oGPA + 23-24 TS/AA DAT chance me thread.

Where does it say that they require high school transcripts? do we turn this in with the secondary or after were accepted?
