To anyone at all, I’m wondering if my dream of becoming a surgeon is still possible even though I’m not doing too good in high school, and also what college should I be looking at if it still is possible to become a surgeon.

Thanks

I graduated HS with just above a 2.0 GPA... Went to a CC for a while and got my priorities straight, now I'm about to apply to med school with a great college GPA. I definitely wouldn't recommend blowing off HS but you can definitely make a comeback in college. You've got a long journey ahead of you, things will get much harder than HS.

Go to your state school, pick a major that isn't too difficult, get a solid GPA and you'll be in fine shape.

The high school grades won’t hold you back. There’s a subforum for high school students for this type of thing. Go to a four year college and get good grades.

How you do in HS ends when you graduate HS. It will have no impact on getting into med school. Get yourself into the best college you can get into. If your HS record is too poor to get into college, then go to a community college for 2 years and then transfer in to a 4 year.

Most important thing is to earn good grades in college. You need to figure out why you are not doing well and fix it in college.
