This year, they actually say

Please do not include high school experience. Only post college information.

However, since it says "please"....

Should I include my trip to Thailand for 2 summers helping the underserved. It was a part of my personal statement. I was thinking maybe they said please because there could be some exceptions such as mine?

Would you guys put it down?

If they specifically say not to, then I wouldn't.

Also, there is a difference between putting it in your PS and listing it as an award. Listing it as an award means you are trying to sell yourself (that's what we're all trying to do anyway, aren't we? 😀) to the DS with a pre-college achievement. Putting it on your PS means it is an important achievement/checkpoint in your life that got to where you are and that because of this stepping stone, you are evolving into doing and achieving (presumably) larger achievements (that is, the ones in college).

So in short, I would not put it down, but I would include it in my PS for sure.

Since it is in your personal statement, they will see that you did it, so I wouldn't include it in the volunteer section since it was during high school. If it is really important to you, you can always try to bring it up in your interview! I'm sure it wouldn't be a big deal if you did include it, but if it was me I wouldn't!
