High step1 and good grades enough to match?

I'm having some doubts about my decision to apply for radiology and am considering derm very late. I've never done a derm rotation (could do it next month), have no research. But I got a 270 on step 1 and have honored everything since the first semester of med school. My school's derm department is large (accepts 5 a year) and I'm guessing it's one of the easier places to match. If someone could give me some idea of my chances or any anecdotes of people in my situation I would appreciate it. Thanks!

any research? if you have strong LOR and you can show that you love derm in interviews (you will definitely get some with your stats) you have as good a shot of making it as anyone who decided earlier. I know of someone who decided late like you, had no derm pubs, step 1 230 and matched derm. they became passionate about derm late and were able to prove it in one of their 4 total interviews. give 'er hell!
