Higher sGPA than cGPA, how should I be selecting schools?

Hi there, I have a 3.45 sGPA and a 3.3 cGPA. I went to a very competitive undergrad that has hardly any grade inflation (graduated with a 2.9 GPA and no science classes, average GPA there is 3.1). I also have taken a lot of credits, which is why it has been very hard bringing my cGPA up. I've realized that my sGPA falls in the range of many more schools than my cGPA does. Should I even bother applying if my cGPA is out of range but sGPA is in range?

My writing skills are very strong, and I would say my experiences are excellent (co-director of a refugee health organization in Tijuana that serves 30+ patients/ day, working on a large scale research project with the dean of UCSD's Global Health program), so I think I will have a strong application otherwise. Any advice appreciated!

What are you were year by year GPAs?

Have you taken the flowers? If not then it's a waste of time trying to pick schools
I have an upward trend. Had 4 years between undergrad and my post-bac. Have been getting A's in 400 level bio courses this last year (though as I mentioned it isn't bringing my cGPA up all that much since I have so many credits). Judging from my practice tests Im expecting around a 515 on mcat.

Come back when you have your MCAST score and we can advise on school lists. As of right now, it's a fool's errand.
