is it possible to highlight parts of the passage by clicking and dragging the mouse over the area you want to highlight in the real DAT?. Has anyone does this and found it work?

by highlight do you mean change the background of the test to yellow? if, then no.

you can drag the mouse over the text with left-click engaged like any other in-screen text on a page, but as soon as you let go it de-selects.

I could do it on my test without it "de-selecting" when I let go... and since I'm assuming it's universal... I'm going to say that yes you can "highlight" sentences. However, as soon as you click on the next question, the whole passage resets back to the first paragraph.

On Achiever's reading, it actually allows you to do multiple highlighting without it de-selecting, but it is all gone when hitting the Next button with the passage resetting to the top of the page.

Here is a screen shot from their website:

Can you verify whether this is something to be expected on the real test?

Thanks.

I don't beleive that you can do that... although I didn't try holding down ctrl, so maybe you can 😕... also, it doens't "highlight" in yellow, but rather the blue that you get when you drag your pointer across a page.

OK. Thanks for confirming this.

regardless, it won't help you organize your ideas . imo, the best method is to make an outline of each paragraph with key words/phrases.

the whole point of doing this is I just don't want to waste a couple of seconds when i'm tryting to to the next line. without any help i sometimes go to the next of the next line or go back to the same line when I try to read the next sentence..

I wish.

MCAT allows you to do it which with all the inference/tone/main idea, etc..questions is really usless for MCAT. It would have worked for RC I am sure, but that is why we don't have it. Bumer..🙁
