We had a script dropped off for Viagra #90 1 po qd.
What really surprises me is that people can actually write those scripts, not proof-read themselves and just hand it off to patients like that... 😕

That's a good point, thanks for reminding me that Viagra is useful for other things. 😳 Even if the dosing seems a little odd to my untrained eyes.
how 'bout pulmonary hypertension...though the frequency is incorrect...

I've actually filled quite a few of these .... sadly🙁
Last one was brought in by the husband - I heard chapter & verse of their "troubles". He wanted to know exactly how much, how often, where, etc....very agitated & demanding.
I suggested perhaps he might want his wife to come talk to me or to call me (sometimes face to face is intimidating). I also suggested he perhaps think about moving more at "her" speed rather than "his".
She called, we talked and she later called me back. They were "successful" and she felt better about the whole thing. She said she doesn't know why he was quite so "aggressive" this time - *sigh*...
Sometimes you treat the pt, sometimes the family........

I think Viagra and Revatio can both be used for PAH, although Revatio has the FDA indication. Viagra can be more cost effective, depending on the dose.
Sometimes the doctors do not even write the scripts. If they trust their receptionist, they'll have them write it out then sign it.
Well of course they can... they're both sildenafil 🙂
I've actually never seen a script for Revatio, only Viagra.
i had a worker's comp patient come in with a script for viagra for back pain. we even called his md on it, but we only spoke with the receptionist (md wasn't there). she said that it was accurate. i guess with the added weight in the front, it'll help balance his back? 😕
worker's comp did not go for it though.
Well... back pain can certainly be heart related, so it's not entirely ridiculous.
Mostly ridiculous... but not entirely. Big f'n surprise that they wouldn't pay for it... 🙄

I got that Rx last month, but it was TID.
The best one I ever got was one for a 2 bedroom apartment, for claustrophobia. It was intended for social services.
