I am hispanic and will be applying for Fall 2006. Is there any advice anyone can offer me. Examples would be how many schools should I apply to, where do a lot of Hispanics go, what are competitive g.p.a. and DAT scores etc. Thank you.

I think you will need like a 2.5 and 15's across the board to get in. Affirmative action rocks!

ZING !!!

I am hispanic with a 3.5 gpa, 18/20/20 DAT I aplied to 14 schools got invited to 6 interviews atended 5 got into 5. As long as you keep yor science gpa above a 3.0 and get a a 17 on your DAT (No less than 15 in any section) and be prepared with a good personal statement and when you go to intervies be prepared to have good answers to their questions. DON'T THINK THAT JUST B/c YOU ARE HISPANIC YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY GET IN. I Know a few with avg stats and DAT scores that did not get in. When you apply take a ggod look at their out-of state admisions, the class size and their stats. Also apply to schools which you want to go to.

Hope it helps

PS: Don't bother applying to U of purto rico, ules you live there and don't apply to more than 10 schools. AND apply early.

Why do you its not worth of applying to U of PR?

This had to be a fake post just to bring up the URM issue so the can then bitch about it.

You can pretty much get into any school. So just apply to the ones that will give you a full ride scholarship.
